A Word in Season is a ministry at Redemption Ministries that is dedicated to helping its members reach their goal for improving their communication skills. Founded by Toya Mitchell, DTM, A Word in Season was chartered in June 2001.

Toastmasters is the best way to improve your communication skills. Lose your fears of public speaking and learn skills that will help you be more successful in whatever path you've chosen in life. A Word in Season Toastmasters Club is a club made up of individuals who are committed to improving their communication and leadership skills. The club has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We are committed to the goals of Toastmasters International and strive to fulfill the mission of Toastmasters which are:
. to be a better listener
. easily lead teams and conduct meetings
. give and receive constructive evaluations

The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
